NSO Update #2

A big thanks to those who have been praying for New Student Outreach. Our vigorous schedule of events is drawing to an end. Please celebrate with me the numerical successes from these past three weeks:

  • 25 returning students attended the Welcome Back Retreat
  • 400 students received refreshing and tasty sno-cones during move-in
  • 80-100 students mingled and enjoyed tasty bubble tea and dumplings
  • 60+ people attended the first Large Group worship and teaching!

God has shown Himself powerful and in control during these events. We’ve had enough food and bubble tea, and many believers and non-believers have made personal connections in Koinonia.

Though we are excited about the numbers, the work is far from done. Despite all the free food and fun, it is crucial for students to receive the bread of life. It is important that new students find community and nurture in the Small Group Bible studies. Please continue to pray that students would consider Small Group a priority in their schedules and attend regularly!

P.S. I am working on a new ministry blog site. Be on the lookout for an e-mail soon!
